Climate

Grindon is in the Blackwood Valley Region of Western Australia, 150 kilometres from both the south and west coasts.

A fresh southerly breeze, known as the Albany Doctor, provides cool nights after the hot summer days, creating ideal conditions for the ripening of premium olives.

The effect that these cool nights have on the olives is also experienced on the inland hills of Tuscany, an area that is world famous for the quality of its olive oils.

The average annual rainfall is 610 mm and the climate is strongly Mediterranean, so the winters are reliably wet with only light frosts, and the summers are always hot and dry.
