Grindon Olive Oil is an outstanding example of Western Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The olive trees are grown near Boyup Brook, which is an ideal location for producing premium quality olives. Delicate, Fruity and Robust styles are produced, providing three distinct flavours suitable for a variety of purposes.

 

All flavours are available in a 250 or 500ml bottle or a 1L Neo-amphora. For versatility a Tri-pack including each flavour in the 250ml bottles is also available. The Neo-amphora is a W.A. patented product that is hand crafted at Grindon using Jarrah that has been salvaged from trees that were sacrificed for development about 100 years ago, or have succumbed to the natural elements.

 

The name Neo-amphora (registered) was derived from 'neo' (new) and 'amphora' (to carry). Amphora were ceramic vessels used by the Ancient Greeks and Romans for storing and trading olive oil, wine, honey and other valuable commodities. Amphora filled with olive oil were given as prizes to the athletes of the ancient Olympiads.

 

The Neo-amphora is the optimum way of storing olive oil for household use, as it keeps both light and air away from the oil, thereby extending the shelf life of this quality product, which can be re-used by simply replacing the bladder inside. Extremely attractive and so practical, the Neo-amphora makes a perfect gift. The bottles are also beautifully presented and are made from dark glass to help preserve the oil.
